What you see on the outside, the way she looks or moves, the way she expresses herself, her barriers, restrictions or vices, work, hobby or daily routine never adequately represents the treasures hidden away within. Where Greco-roman mythology has Artemis and Diana, American mythology has Wonder Woman, Madonna and Bette Davis. Where India has Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, America has Superman, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. There, in the mix, lies the modern day Venus, Marilyn Monroe. When American viewers were content with newspaper headlines and imagination, enduring American legends were created on the silver screen and in comic books. The American pantheon of gods and goddesses is made of up super heroes and classic and pop-culture movie stars. I’ve committed some of them to paper here. Prints can be purchased herein.

My Creating is Breathing Tarot is a work-in-process. It began as an art journal that was originally posted on Flickr and Facebook, and has since transformed into a long term project. This gallery includes major arcana cards, each one representing universal experiences we go through in our lives, no matter what our background or how we were raised. This is a new spin on an old idea. I was into this craft project over 10 years ago and then brought it back to life recently to satisfy a personal obsession with jars and boxes. Each jar is suitable for holding herbs, cleansing salt and the like. They are not air tight and not intended to be used for culinary or medicinal purposes.
