    TOTEM ROCKS & JARS

This is a new spin on an old idea. I was into this craft project over 10 years ago and then brought it back to life for the Snowflake Shop at Green Hills Elementary School in November 2005.  I made most of these very recently to see how they sell at our booth on the Fourth of July.

On Monday, July 4, 2011, these gift items (and much more) will be offered for sale at Leo J. Ryan Park, 650 Shell Boulevard, in Foster City, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. What doesn't sell in Foster City will be available on etsy.  A totem is an object, animal, plant or element that we feel a close connection to.  The totem or spirit it embodies represents a bond, familiarity or attachment. It speaks to us in a way that is relevant to our personality or circumstances.  People who find their solace or rejuvenation in nature or who otherwise have a special appreciation for nature may resonate more to these collectible gifts.  They are made largely with items from Mother Earth and most rocks and shells are from the Pacific Coast, in most cases from my favorite beach.   The copyright hereon is not on the materials or the idea, but rather on these photos and items specifically.  I hope you enjoy these special gifts, as they’ve brought me much pleasure to make.  D❤
